Brought together by a shared passion for cave diving and environmental protection, we aim to reveal the natural beauty of these ecosystems—many of which remain completely unknown—and raise awareness about their vulnerability.
Exploration & Conservation
CubanCuskeel is at the forefront of underwater cave exploration in Cuba. Our goal is to map and document submerged cave systems that have never been explored before. This work is vital—not only for the diving community but also for the scientific understanding of these unique ecosystems.
Our exploration projects are deeply linked to conservation. The Cuban Cuskeel was the first endangered species we began to research, but it is just the beginning. We are committed to identifying and protecting other endemic and at-risk cave species, gathering critical data to support effective conservation strategies.
In collaboration with institutions like the University of Havana, we conduct studies that assess species distribution, habitat conditions, and environmental threats. We also engage local communities to promote awareness and appreciation for the natural heritage beneath their feet.
Training & Safety
Cave diving requires specialized skills and knowledge. We offer high-quality training in accordance with TDI standards, ensuring divers are fully prepared to explore safely. Our TDI-certified instructors guide students through every step, from beginners to advanced explorers. Training isn’t just about mastering techniques—it’s about responsibility, safety, and respect for the underwater world. Plus, funds from these courses help sustain our conservation projects.
