Chicharrones Cave

Chicharrones Cave is a dynamic river cave best explored during the dry season, when currents are gentle but noticeable. This system, formed by an underground river, features impressive natural architecture, including columns over 10 meters tall that descend directly into a vertical shaft reaching 27 meters.

The cave also holds paleontological value, with the remains of two Megalocnus (giant ground sloths) found within. Ongoing exploration by CubanCuskeel continues to reveal new chambers and geological formations, contributing to both scientific research and mapping efforts.
