TDI-DPV Cave Diver
for who
The certified diver who has an interest in utilizing Diver Propulsion Vehicles (DPVs) in the overhead environment.
prerequisites
-Minimum age: 18.
-Minimum certification: TDI Full Cave Diver, TDI Mine Diver Level II, or equivalent.
-Provided proof of at least 25 non-training full cave or mine dives.

Safe DPV use, DPV components, and care and maintenance. Plan dives that incorporate extended penetration, longer bottom lines, complex dive planning, and proper gas management methods.
qualification
DPV overhead diving activities without direct supervision adhere to the following limits:
-If each diver utilizes a single DPV, each diver must turn the dive with no less than twice the amount of gas required to exit the overhead while swimming.
-If each diver utilizes multiple DPVs, each diver must turn the dive with no less than twice the amount of gas required to exit the overhead while utilizing the DPV.
-No equipment removal in overhead except for stage bottles if utilized.
-39 metres/130 feet maximum depth.
-Students are encouraged to gain experience before attempting to plan and execute complex DPV overhead dives.
-Safety and decompression stops are completed as appropriate or necessary.
